This September, Enlighten Film Society focuses on a country
with an incredible film heritage that has challenged and delighted audiences
the world over. Italy has produced some of cinema’s greatest filmmakers and on
September 1st Enlighten is showcasing one film each from three great Italian
directors. The programme will start with Vittorio De Sica’s neo-realist
masterpiece, Bicycle Thieves, which has received universal acclaim from both
